We started the day with an early morning visit to Jehovah Java, a wonderful Cafe in downtown Lake Providence.

Don Boyett, the owner who attended our ceremony at the Community Center yesterday, kindly treated us to breakfast, including delicious cinnamon rolls and muffins made fressh by his wife Linda who was still busy at home baking.

Two of our local friends who greeted us at the Lake Providence Community Center yesterday, Jen and Jan, also came to the school to kindly be part of the ceremony. We are so grateful for their kindness and support.

This gentleman was doing some construction work when Phaedra ran past and very enthusiastically wanted to hold the torch.

These guys just wanted to play their instruments. They did play for us after our presentation and they sounded fantastic.

Mayor John Cox was kind enough to come on this hot day and inspire us with some words of wisdom and encouragement.

Passing the torch around for those who wish to make their own personal gestures and wishes for peace.

Joel Conce from the Delata Democrat Times shares the torch with us after his interview with some of the runners.

Braxton and Mark from Quapaw Canoe Company hold the torch after our arrival there. They kindly put us up for the night. We are very grateful to John
Ruskey, the owner of Quapaw who offered us the facilities for the night.
