Oklahoma, OK - Amarillo, TX

Reported by Anna Khimchinskaia, Bashata Cimesa, Suhasini Septiarini

A big thank you to Hilton Garden Inn, Oklahoma City, for their kind hopitality for the womens team.

We also thank Hampton Inn for so generously hosting the mens team for the night!

Again many thanks to the Red Cup cafe for inviting us back this morning and treating us with a delicious breakfast. We were greatly touched by the kindness and generousity of the owners and staff!

Some of the customers also wanted to hold the torch and make a wish for peace.

Having a chat about roasting the coffee beans with Gary.

Having a group picture with the co-owner and the cook--Patrick "the Beaver" before heading to Palo Duro Canyon, Texas.

Before leaving Oklahoma City we stopped for a moment of silence at the Oklahoma City National Memorial.

When our Peace Run team passes through Oklahoma city, we like to visit this site to offer our prayers for peace.

The memorial is very powerful and beautiful. There is one empty chair for every person who died in the 1995 bombing.

Getting ready for the long drive to Amarillo, Texas.

Arriving at Palo Duro Canyon...what a breathtaking scene! Palo Duro is well known as the Grand Canyon of Texas.

Runners are smilers,(after a long drive to get there)!

Enjoying reading the information about the Canyon.

Don't touch the Cactus, it hurts! In this photo siblings Pranlobha and Antara-Prabhat are reinacting a photo from when they visited Texas as children ;)

Horses are one of Pranlobha's favorite animals.

Some of us went for a beautiful walk along a trail.

What a view!

We made some new friends along the way...

Patting the dog...

We enjoyed the natural, albeit spiky, beauty.

Spot the bee!

Capturing the cute liitle red bird...

Taking some rest while enjoying the wide Canyon... it was a peace flooded experience.

What an enchanting landscape!

Anna is very happy because she is finally in Texas. Yay!

Please send us a message, we would LOVE to hear from you.

See who is sending us messages.
