We are ever so grateful to the management at the Ambassador Hotel in Amarillo for hosting us for four rooms. They are one of the premier hotels in Amarillo and one of the nicest we have been to.

Shannon, far right, and her staff accept our Certificate of Appreciation. Everyone there was so helpful and kind to us.

Arpan, Homagni, and Chetana chat with a real cowboy horse rancher. He owns over 700 horses.

Friends on the road.

Rolling hills.

La Mesa!

From the desert to the forest in just a few miles

In the beautiful city of Taos we met with Cathy Romero, the Assistant to Mayor Daniel Barrone. She kindly offered two Proclamations to the Peace Run today.

At Taos we met a group of young people dedicated to learn how to build an Earthship.
An Earthship is an alternative way of building a house. Their distinctive features are to be energetically independent from artificial supplies, and also designed to manage domestic waste.

All of the Earthship builders kindly the torch offering their goodwill and wishes for peace...

The Earthship builders who came to our ceremony and shared their goodwill with us by holding the torch and explaining their mission. On their website it says,". . . the Earthship is the epitome of sustainable design and construction. No part of sustainable living has been ignored in this ingenious building." Please check out http://earthship.com/

Taos was proclaimed as a Sri Chinmoy Peace-Blossom town by Mayor Daniel Barrone. We are grateful to Cathy Romero for representing the Mayor and offer this Certificate to us as well as the Proclamation declaring May 25 as Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run Day in Taos.

The beautiful Rio Grande River and Gorge

Sarvodaya gets a better perspective of the Gorge from the strong shoulders of Dennis.

This nice gentleman Gene, from Cimmaron, shares the torch with the women's team as they passed through on the way to Taos.

Beautiful architecture, called 'biotecture', using recycled materials such as tires to create energy efficient living.

A hidden friend, beautiful longhorn sheep thrive in this kind of environment...

We ended our day by visiting some of the extremely innovative Earthships outside of Taos.

Walls with recycled tires to absorb heat from the air and sun and to insulate as well.

Beautiful interiors offer natural and energy efficient living spaces...

A tickling attack...

A beautiful double rainbow offers a delightful backdrop to our long day!

Please send us a message, we would LOVE to hear from you.
