Special thanks to the lovely Alpine Inn of Pagosa Springs for offering the girls team free rooms.

We had a great stay at the High Country Lodge in Pagosa Springs and we are really thankful to France for the great rooms and kind hospitality.

Distant snow-capped mountains surrounded our stay in Pagosa Springs. We are at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.

A local humming bird entertains the team.

The Rotary Club of Pagosa Springs invited the team to their morning meeting and breakfast. It was great to share our experiences with people who have an international perspective and dedicate their lives to service. Their motto for 2014 is 'Engage Rotary, Change lives'.

All of the Rotary members offered their kind wishes for peace and harmony.

The Rotarians offered the team their banner flag which is now hanging in our RV.

The Rotarians were so encouraging and inspiring for all of us.

Our next stop was the Parelli Natural Horsemanship office. These young and inspired staff were bursting with enthusiasm. Their goal is to help raise the level of horsemanship worldwide for the benefit of horses and the people who love them.

Melanie from the Pine River Times of Bayfield came out to greet us and cover the story of our run through this very nice mountain town.

The Mayor surprised everyone by running around the playground with the kids.

Mayor Volger was quite spry as the children and adults tried to keep up with him.

Cheerful enthusiasm cultivates peace

Kate Lister, Principal of the Pagosa Elementary School, was very enthusiastic about our visit and was a real inspiration to us and the children as well.

A very large Peace contingent.

Somr of the kind people the women's team met as they ran into Ignacio.

The girls team visited the Southern Ute Indian Tribal Council in Ignacio, Colorado.

A native Ute child offering her own natural sweetness and peace.

Durango's kind Mayor Sweetie Marbury enjoys meeting most of our team at the Rio Grande Inn which kindly offered ta complementary room for some or our women's team.

Mayor Marbury listens intently as we explain our mission and goals. She was quite moved by our efforts and our international participation.

She then offered us a heartfelt message which reflected her loving kindness and sense of service to others.

A painting by Sri Chinmoy labeled, "Peace Blossoms in the Heart of Goodness." Mayor Marbury was quite moved by this stating that she is a gardener herself. We must add that she has a large heart of goodness as well.
