From March 26 to April 2 a display of children’s art work from around the world dedicated to world peace will be exhibited at San Diego City Hall as well as some selections works from prolific artist Sri Chinmoy, founder of the Peace Run.
Sri Chinmoy was not only an artist but also a philosopher, a poet, an athlete, a musician who dedicated his life to a oneness-world through inner peace.
The exhibit is located in the "City Administation Building" at 202 C Street in San Diego.
Sujantra and Pujari assisted Peace Run Children’s Art Exhibit curator Santiva to put up the display.
Artwork by Peace Run founder Sri Chinmoy is in the foreground with children's artwork expressing their hopes and dreams for peace.
The children’s art work depcit their hopes and dreams for a better world, with the theme of World Peace, Friendship, Save the World, Recycling, No Violence and more.
These innocent yet exquisite artworks help us reflect more deeply on a peaceful world seen through a child's eyes.
We thank the contributing children of the world for creating these works to make this exhibit not only inspirational but also international.
Today
My heart is no longer
A peace-dreamer.
It has become a peace-revealer
And peace-distributor
For the citizens of the world.
Sri Chinmoy
Paintings for World Harmony, by artist Sri Chinmoy, are a true inspiration to humanity, inspiring us and making us reflect that true peace and harmony begins with each individual on Earth. When we have inner peace we can spread this peace around us, to the world at large.
We would like to thank the City of San Diego for their support and especially Kristina Fraijo, Citywide Volunteer Program Coordinator for her support and making this exhibit possible in San Diego City Hall. We are very grateful, thank you!
