Our first destination in Bennington was the Farmer's Market.
There was a small crowd there to greet us warmly and share the torch with us as well.

This local young man named Will was very quite positive about our mission and our goals.

After the Farmer's Market we made our way to the center of town to a festival called the May Fest.
We were interviewed by a local TV station.

All of the DJ's were enthusiastic and supportive of our cause.
The local daily newspaper, The Bennington Banner, also interviewed some of our runners. We are so grateful for the media when they come out to cover our events and share them with the rest of the community.
There were many great pieces of art and other displays at this festival in downtown Bennington.
Many locals showed interest in the Peace Run and the torch as well.
After our events in downtown Bennington we were able to get to our accommodations in nearby Shaftsbury. Staying at a friend's country home, we explored some of the barns and interesting buildings on this former horse farm.

Just before sunset we were eager to settle into our accommodations for the evening at the cozy country home of a good friend, Arun, and his family.

As we settle into spacious accommodation we gratefully reflect on the wonderful receptions we had today with the lovely people of Bennington. Their support of peace and their love of the natural environment will definitely make a difference in today's world and the future of our planet, our Oneness-Home.
