Peace Run in Hawaii began in a very unique and special way. I was invited to the Islands to help our teammate Abhejali pursue her expression of peace by swimming the Ka'iwi Channel, the body of water between Moloka'i and Oahu. Each school we visit, we share with students that peace is an expression of the goodness and self giving each person has within themselves. Abhejali expresses this peace on the waves. What better way to teach peace than to practice it? Mike, our pilot answers some questions before we begin.

Leaving Honolulu for Moloka'i on Monday. We had a sendoff from the bottlenose dolphins, even though you can't see them on the photo.

Since we arrived by boat, Abhejali had to swim from the Moloka'i shoreline to begin. Official start time: 5:21pm

And on to Oahu for victory. Peace in the channel, and no sharks to be seen. Sandy Beach, here we come!

Today we received a warm welcome and invite from Connie, president of Faerber's Flyer's to visit their weekly sprint sessions at UH. Thanks Connie, we were excited to come run with your team and share the Peace Torch.
