A big thank you to Travelodge Eureka for accommodating much of the team last night- we were are grateful to come here again!

Also a big thank you to Carter House Inn fro providing a very luxurious nights accommodation for the rest of our team, also for the second time. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!

Our first stop of the day was to visit Alice Birney Elementary in Eureka.

As we ran in we were greeted by super enthusiastic kids!!

This girl represented Mother Teresa. It was also really wonderful that one of the teachers translated our ceremony in sign language!

This boy was playing Muhummad Ali very nicely!

Iceland!!

Banshidhar from Hawaii teaching the hula...

Guess where Pujaris home is? Our oneness-home earth of course!

Now that is peace!

Over 70% of the children at this school have parents who come from countries other than the United States- now that is a world family!!

breathe out peace!

showing peace in action is always fun!

A big thank you to School Principal, Beth Holcomb, for welcoming us and embracing our message!

Time to hold the torch!

Principal, Beth Holcomb, invited us once more to feel peace in our hearts before inviting some selected students to run with us...

There is a very nurturing and caring environment in this school which was an inspiration to us all!

The school presented us with a team t-shirt!

Next was an 8 mile run from Alice Birney School, through the City of Eureka, to Redwood Coast Montessori. We were thrilled to be joined by local runners, Lindsey Grossman, (holding the torch), and Jason Haase, (on the far right).u

Jason leads the team past the boys accommodation from last night!

We met our dear friends pictured centre right, Terri Little, Director of Redwood Coast Montessori, and local Councilwoman, Kim Bergel, in front of Carson Mansion (an iconic historic building). They joined us to run the last few miles to the school. We are so grateful to Terri for organising the run!

Heading over the bridge!

We were all waiting on the other side of the bridge- quite a line-up!!

Kim leading the way- a local journalist from the Eureka Times Standard was following behind! You can see the article he wrote here.

Just before reaching the school, we were thrilled to be joined by a bunch of the kids for the last stretch!

We were thrilled to be met at the school by District Attorney, Maggie Flemming(holding the torch). Maggie was of great help to Terri in bringing justice to a tragic event several years ago, so Terri was happy to share the message of the Peace Run with her!

The school Peace Pole!

Time to meet the kids and share some peace!

"Peace begins with me"

Singing the World Harmony Run song with actions!

Man, peace feels good!

Time to pass the Peace Torch!

It was also great to catch up with Terri's wonderful husband and Co-Director of the School, Bryan Little.

We were honored to offer Terri Little our Torch-Bearer Award 2 years ago, and thrilled to once again present her with our Certificate of Appreciation!

The kids embodying the message of the artwork by Peace Run Founder, Sri Chinmoy, entitle "hope".

Thank you Redwood Montessori! Visiting your school is always a great highlight for all of us!

And it was not over! After the presentation, we were all invited to share a delicious freshly made vegetarian lunch with the kids!

We all love a good hug!

The kids were spending the afternoon on their Science projects- it was hard to tear ourselves away!

Sadly it was time to leave...we were accompanied for a few miles out of the school by Terri and her super dear runner friend, Jessica Hunt, They have been running together through their lives biggest highs and lows. Their friendship, dedication to running, and perseverence to stay positive and optimistic is a great inspiration! And it was a good pace!

We were spoilt to run with more trees on the way to Crescent City!

Its hard to run by without some fun along the way!

Finally we arrived at the wonderful Crescent City Campground for a super rejuvenating night under the trees and stars! What a perfect end to a blessed day!

Putting your feet in the dazzling Pacific is such a treat after a days running!

Please send us a message, we would LOVE to hear from you.
