Rotary District Governor Princess Febri Dipokusumo, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Jose Ramos-Horta and Peace Run Executive Director, Salil Wilson.

Ms. Dewi Wahab, Special Advisor to the Minister on Socio-Cultural Affairs and Indonesian Diaspora Empowerment, officially welcomed all participants on behalf of the Indonesian Government.

We also had a minute of meditation accompanied by a recording of Peace Run founder Sri Chinmoy playing flute.

We then went outside where a beautiful girls choir from a local school Sunari Loka performed. They began by sharing a quote from Sri Chinmoy, "There shall come a time when this world of ours will be flooded with peace. Who is going to bring about this radical change?
It will be you: you and your sisters and brothers. You and your oneness-heart will spread peace throughout the length and breadth of the world.”

The choir performed a beautiful rendition of Sri Chinmoy's song, "A new world of Peace."
A new world of peace,
A new world of light,
A new world of height,
Can alone give me
Satisfaction-delight.
