The day began at the scenic Vermont farm called Miles to Go. The whole team is very grateful to Arun and Julie for their hospitality!
Arpan, Devendra and Scott hit the pavement at the crack of dawn and were rewarded by a series of uphill runs. It even required a soak a in lake on the way. Although it wasn't easy running, the beautiful surrounding nature was very rewarding.
We came across several people along the road who were happy to hear about the Peace Run and it's message that world peace starts in the heart of each individual. The runners always feel very grateful for everyone's good wishes and blessings!
Apparently summer is construction season in Vermont and we came across several very friendly construction workers.
Our first official meeting of the day was at the Brattleboro Food Coop. It's a super cool store that was founded in 1975 and counts 8000 members in this community of 10 000. Very lovely people and a very lovely town.
Lee, Amy and Ruth welcomed us very warmly and provided the entire team with a delicious lunch!
More scenic running brought us over the border into New Hampshire.
An awesome welcome awaited us at Franklin Elementary School in Keene, NH. The girls and boys from Project Keep had all prepared awesome posters for the team.
We played our very popular game where the children have to guess where each team member is from.
There was also our Peace train around the school yard lead by the Peace Torch.
Also popular was the skits.
Feel peace in your heart.
Make a wish for peace.
