We woke up this morning at Earthwell Retreat Centre to a most spectacular sunrise!

What a blessed start to the day!

The pond was a refreshing dip for many of us!

We all stayed in small cabins like this one, blanketed in the exquisitely peaceful surroundings. All our gratitude to Emily and her team for hosting us at this magical place!

We were thrilled to be joined by EarthWell Founder/Director, Emily Adama, pictured holding the torch, and her 2 friends, Stevie and Lisa.

Stevie and Lisa had planned to go for a run, so were surprised when Emily invited them to join us!

Emily leads the way- we put our fastest woman, Nayaja, out to join her.

While waiting for the runners, Tim saw the picture of Sri Chinmoy on the van and came over to meet us and tell how he attended a concert by Sri Chinmoy 20 years ago and still has fond memories of it.

We wanted to keep Emily! She instantly felt like part of our team and it was hard to say goodbye- we hope to stay friends in the future!

Beautiful nature on our route today!

Our first stop of the day was to Plymouth-Canton Montessori Summer Camp.

We felt very These kids were tiny and very sweet

Feeling the peace!

Skits are always fun!

PEACE

Peace Pole!

Time to run!!!

Thank you to all the kids and teachers for joining our team for an hour!

Back on the road- these days we are commonly dwarfed by corn.

The day was getting hotter!

Our next stop was to the Boys and Girls Club of Southeastern Michigan.

These kids were super enthusiastic to take part!

We are the oneness and fulness of tomorrows sun!

Feel the Peace!

"Coach" Ja'Ron Embry accepted our Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of the club. Here he is pictured reading the quote by Sri Chinmoy: "Peace does not mean the absence of War. Peace means the presence of harmony, love, satisfaction and oneness. Peace means a flood of love in the world family"

We also presented the club with an artwork by the founder of the Peace Run, Sri Chinmoy.

Time to pass the torch!

Coach really embraced the message of the Peace Run and led the kids on a big lap around the field- these kids can run!

As promised, Coach gave us a chance to race these sporty kids. The boys went first. Needless to say, they out sprinted us!

The girls were far in front of our team also...it was a lot of fun for us all!

Peace cheer!

Thank you Boys and Girls Club of Southeastern Michigan, we really loved meeting you all and feeling your enthusiastic spirit for peace and community!

Meeting peace lovers along the way ;)

The dinner team!

We were truly blessed to spend 2 nights at the Sylvania Franciscans Monastery, a haven of peace and tranquility. We were treated to each have our own ensuite room, which was pure luxury for the team. Here we are with Sister Sharon Havelak, who has been a resident Sister for 55 years! We were delighted to meet her and hear some stories of her life's dedication to peace, and also the history of the service the Monastery and sisters have offered to humanity since 1916. All our gratitude for this wonderful opportunity!

Sister Sharon took some time to give us a brief tour of the stunning premises. We are very grateful that Virangini, (standing behind Sister Sharon), rejoined our team today to help us drive- this is the forth time she has been on the team in 2024!

Many of the sisters are artists, so beautiful artwork adorns the walls.

We were welcomed to go anywhere, including inside this breath-takingly beautiful Chapel!

The grounds are incredibly beautiful, and house many shrines to St Francis and Mother Mary.

"Lord make me a means of your Peace" Saint Francis
