I'm very fortunate and extremely grateful to be able to serve on the Peace Run. I feel it is the most meaningful and significant thing I can do with my life. Life on the road, carrying a torch for peace, is a remarkably enriching and rewarding experience. Connecting with people around an ideal - a yearning for a more peaceful world - is beautiful and inspiring.
So why am I riding across America in 2025? A number of reasons. As you may know when you get older your knees don't work as well and cycling becomes an easier and more enjoyable alternative. We've met numerous long distance cyclists doing long bike rides and it always appealed to me. This year I turned 60 and I figured if I don't do this ride across America soon then I may not be able to do it.

In 2010 I had the opportunity to take part in the entire 10,000 mile USA Peace Run! It was an amazing experience. I've also participated in two 8 month European Peace Runs visiting about 42 European Countries. So when the opportunity to ride across America under my own steam combined with the magic of doing it with the Peace Torch I totally leapt at the opportunity. I'm so looking forward to this experience and meeting everyone along our route.
