Dr. Budhendranauth Doobay welcomed us to the Peace Park and Vishnu Mandir. Dr. Doobay is founder and director of the Vishnu Mandir Temple and the Voice of the Vedas Cultural organisation. He is also the founder of the Doobay Medical and Research Centre in Guyana, which has an ever-expanding dialysis unit. He was recently appointed to the Order of Canada.

Colonel Gerry Nudds is the founding architect and guiding light of the Peace Park, a universal park that embraces all cultures and religions. It includes a huge Memorial to the fallen soldiers of Indian origin, a statue of Mahatma Gandhi, a Nelson Mandela site, a new and beautiful site for Indigenous peoples to conduct their ceremonies, an inukshuk, the Gomukh Peace Fountain, a sculpture of the universal child, a lovely bird sculpture, and a statue of Sri Chinmoy.

Adarsh Mehta and Jeff Jenner are co-founders of My 100 Percent, a registered Canadian charity that supports two schools and residences for children with a background of poverty and adversity in Nepal and northern India. The title of their foundation refers to the fact that 100% of all donations go directly to the schools, residences, scholariships and projects; including a bicycle program for girls to get to school and work.
