Mt. Fuji

Reported by Sudasa Yoshida 7.0 km

We ended this year's run by taking the torch to the top of Japan's most sacred and beloved mountain, Mt. Fuji. We started climbing from the 5th station (2400m above sea level). We took a short break to get used to the high altitude.

The mountain trail is enveloped in silence. Almost no man-made sounds can be heard.

It's sunny and visibility is good. But before you know, you can get enveloped in a thick fog.

To avoid oxygen deficiency, you must climb slowly at your own pace.

At first, the ground is sandy, but as you climb higher, it becomes full of stones and rocks.

We finally reached the top! A traditional gate welcomes us. We are so high, it looks like we are standing above the clouds as in an airplane. We are at an altitude of 3,776 meters
